"I Am Enough" Initiative

The “I Am Enough” initiative is a women's trauma recovery program designed exclusively for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one as a result of gun-violence and have been impacted from either side of the violent act (death or incarceration). This six-month workshop series will provide a safe and intimate space for the healing journey and is designed to stimulate personal growth in each program participant while attaining the following goals and objectives:

  • Building resiliency factors
  • Enhancing communication skills
  • Developing effective coping skills
  • Creating safe spaces
  • Being emotionally available to their remaining children
  • Establishing and utilizing social supports

During each session program participants will be lead through a structured curriculum developed by certified practitioners focusing on the healing and recovery of trauma and will include the following components:

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Affect Management (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
  • Trauma-Centered Yoga
  • Healing Circles

Our next workshop will take place on Saturday, December 9, 2017
